About Me

I’m Jack Xin, a Colombian-American filmmaker based in New York City.

Filmmaking isn’t just my passion, it’s my life’s purpose. I’ve known that since I was six, watching my dad interview some of the world’s greatest DJs and helping him record segments. By thirteen, I was making YouTube videos on my iPhone, teaching myself how to tell stories through movement, light, and sound.

At seventeen, I bought my first Canon M50 and began documenting my time in London, capturing the city’s energy from the Euro 2021 celebrations to the creative streets of Brighton and Shoreditch. When I returned to New York, I created a thirteen-part docuseries exploring the city’s hidden subcultures, from chess hustlers and musicians to street artists and immigrants.

Now, at twenty three, I’m able to craft stories across genres, from branded and corporate content to human centered documentaries. My current project, a feature documentary set in Belize, explores the country’s people, wildlife, and culture through a lens of curiosity and connection.

I’m driven by the same hunger that started it all:

To find meaning through stories and share what makes us human.
